Contributes to the regulation of the cellular energy metabolism. Important for regulating tissue-specific ATP levels. Function: NAD-dependent protein deacetylase. Activates mitochondrial target proteins, including ACSS1, IDH2 and GDH by deacetylating key lysine residues. Contributes to the regulation of the cellular energy metabolism.
